



of the Savanna-la-mar branch, recently joined Scotia DBG Investments Limited and is responsible for the business development and the daily operation of the Savanna-la-mar branch. He began his
career in the financial arena when he joined the National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited in 1978 as teller and left in 1990 as Senior Loans Officer. After migrating to the United Kingdom he joined Barclays Bank PLc and Allied Dundar PLc as a Loans Officer and Investment Officer respectively. In 1997 he graduated from Hallam University Sheffield (UK) with Honors Degree in Financial Services and also holds banking certificates from Chartered Institute of Bankers, Certificate in Insurance from Chartered Insurance Institute and Certificate in Information Technology from University of Sheffield. He returned to Jamaica in 1997 and joined Scotiabank as Credit Officer in Savanna-la-mar and was transferred a year later to the BNS Mandeville branch. In 2001 he established B. H. Enterprises Limited, which went on to be very successful in the telecommunication industry. He sold the business in 2005 and in 2007 joined Southern Regional Health Authority as Operations Manager at Black River Hospital.
Scotia DBG’s Savanna-la-mar branch was acquired by Scotia DBG after the acquisition of Billy Craig Finance and Merchant Bank, and is headed by Branch Manager , Stanford Hasting.
Like its Head Office in New Kingston, the branch provides a wide range of products and services for both individual and commercial investors. This entails money market and unit trust investments, foreign exchange trading, and a stockbrokerage service.
The recently refurbished branch located on 72 Great George Street in Savanna-la-mar, is now much more comfortable, and each Customer Service Representative is provided with their own station to facilitate more private financial advising and planning; whilst cambio and other cash transactions are now conducted in a more spacious waiting area. This extremely efficient branch looks forward to continued success by exceeding the expectations of its clients.
